Pocket Zen World

Privacy Policy

Effective

Pocket Zen World is a calm garden that lives on your iPhone. We built it to need nothing from you: no account, no tracking and no data collected. This policy explains exactly what that means.

The short version

  • We don't collect any personal data, and the app has no server of its own.
  • There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.
  • Your garden, journal and settings are saved only on your device.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store.
  • In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.

What stays on your iPhone

To keep your garden, the app saves its state on your device: plants, decorations, discoveries, settings, your rake pattern and the photos you choose to keep in the Moments album, plus a backup copy so a damaged save can be recovered. The app never sends this data anywhere, and we cannot see it.

It is removed when you delete the app. You can also erase your garden and journal at any time in Settings → Start a new world.

What we don't collect

  • Your name, email address or phone number
  • Your location, precise or approximate
  • Your contacts, camera or microphone
  • Advertising identifiers or browsing history
  • Analytics or crash data sent to us or to third parties

The app contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising or tracking.

Diagnostics on your device

To help find problems, the app writes short usage notes — for example “journal opened” — to your device's own system log. They never include your name, location or other personal details, and the app never sends them anywhere.

If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports on to us. That choice is yours and is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Purchases

The Pocket Zen Pass and the optional tips are bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. To unlock the Pass, the app checks Apple's signed record of your purchase on your device. Family Sharing, Ask to Buy and Restore Purchases are provided by Apple.

Photos

Photo mode creates pictures of your garden on your device. A photo is added to your Photos library only when you tap Save Image in the share sheet — that is the only time iOS asks for permission, and the permission only allows adding photos. The app never reads your photo library.

Photos you keep in the Moments album stay inside the app until you delete them, and anything you share goes only where you send it.

Notifications

Gentle reminders are off by default. If you turn them on in Settings → Reminders, iOS asks for permission and the app schedules at most one quiet notification on your device. There is no push server, and you can turn reminders off at any time.

Widgets

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show a small summary of your garden: weather, season, visitor, blooms and garden day. The app shares this summary with the widget on your device only. The widget's Water button only leaves the time you tapped it in the same on-device space, for the app to read next time it opens. Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center only open the app with the activity you chose; nothing leaves your device.

Children

Pocket Zen World collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is no chat, no account and no advertising. Purchases go through the App Store, where parents can use Ask to Buy and Screen Time.

Your choices

Because we don't collect personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. Everything is in your hands on your device: change the settings, erase the garden, or delete the app.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and serves its fonts and images itself. Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a future feature ever needs your data, it will be explained here and in the app before it is used.
